如何让更多用户贡献内容-Jakob Nielsen和90-9-1规律
Putting people first数月前提出了一个1%规律,意思是:”如果一个群总共在线100人,那么将会有1个人新建内容,有10个人回应(评论或者修改补充),而剩下的89个人只是浏览而已。”
“if you get a group of 100 people online then one will create content, 10 will ‘interact’ with it (commenting or offering improvements) and the other 89 will just view it.”
Jakob Nielsen(可用性测试鼻祖)对这一现象做了一些数据调查,将之称为90-9-1规律:
There are about 1.1 billion Internet users, yet only 55 million users (5%) have weblogs according to Technorati. Worse, there are only 1.6 million postings per day; because some people post multiple times per day, only 0.1% of users post daily.
Blogs的用户参与悬殊更大,这个数字更接近于95-5-0.1。这意味着你搜集的用户反馈,评价永远只是那个1%用户给你的,偏差会有多大?95个人都认为你的网站糟糕的不屑于顾,但你只收到那1个用户发言说好!请继续!
如何改善这个悬殊,让潜水者浮出水面,积极参与内容贡献呢?Jakob Nielsen给出了他的建议:
发布操作更容易。Make it easier to contribute;
让参与者可参考其他用户(比如在Amazon买书的时候,它会告诉你买了这本书的用户还买了什么书)。Make participation a side effect of something else they’re doing (e.g. buying);
与其让用户从白纸开始创建内容,不如让他们从修改开始。Have users modify something, rather than create it from scratch;
奖励,但不要过分啊。Reward — but don’t over-reward — participants;
突出高质量的内容,鼓励那些奉献者。Promote quality contributors and contributions.
